For more than 50 years, CCHR has worked to restore human rights and dignity to the field of mental health. We have worked alongside lawmakers, doctors, lawyers, educators, filmmakers and like-minded groups. And now we want to work with you.
The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) is a nonprofit mental health watchdog responsible for helping to enact more than 300 laws protecting individuals from abusive or coercive practices. CCHR was co-founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus Dr. Thomas Szasz.
